Volunteers Week 1-7 June 2017

Volunteers Week is running from 1-7th June and is a poignant reminder of how important volunteers are to us. Volunteering is a meaningful act that is fulfilling and rewarding. It can be on a one off basis or something more regular like Befriending or Mentoring.

We have been out and about this Volunteers Week at;

Volunteer Essex Futures in Mind

Today and Wednesday we will have literature at GO4 café in Colchester and hope to see you there! Here are just some of the opportunities that we have to offer;

Befriending
You will support an individual on a 1:1 basis to enable them to do things they once enjoyed but have now lost interest in, offer companionship and conversation.

Peer Activity Volunteer
You will help to run local activity groups and events, supporting service users engage.

Mentoring
You will offer more structured support for an individual and have an NCFE qualification in mentoring, you may develop a caseload of mentees.

Communications
You will help support the Communications Coordinator and help with social media and website maintenance, phone calls and live chat function.

Administration Support
You will assist with the daily administration responsibilities and support the administrator.

Please note that our guitar workshop will be cancelled throughout August, but will start back again on Tuesday 3rd of September. Also, Pitsea boxfit is cancelled tomorrow but will be back on as normal next week.
