Service Launch Event

Futures in Mind was a joint commission from Ben Hughes and Emily Oliver of Essex County Council. Commissioners of drug and alcohol and mental health services respectively, they joined forces. Phoenix Futures, Mind in West Essex and Mid and North Essex Mind partnered to tender.

Service Launch Event

What a fantastic turnout to our service launch event. We invited service users, volunteers, commissioners and other organisations to share in the day. The launch was held at the Cramphorn Theatre, Chelmsford.

Service users and volunteers worked hard filming staff volunteers, commissioners and service projects. The video was kindly put together by volunteer Connor Sadler. You can view it here:

Lived Experiences

After the video we had a chance to mingle and indulge in the lovely spread before heading back for 7 speakers. The speakers talked openly and honestly about their journey’s and struggles with addiction and mental illness. Over the next few weeks we will be able to see some of those experiences.

The key message that was taken from the speakers was that with encouragement and support recovery is possible. Recovery is not linear and there will be tough times. Recovery is individual and recovery is what you want it to look like and at Futures in Mind we will help you achieve this.
