Service Launch Event
What a fantastic turnout to our service launch event. We invited service users, volunteers, commissioners and other organisations to share in the day. The launch was held at the Cramphorn Theatre, Chelmsford.
Service users and volunteers worked hard filming staff volunteers, commissioners and service projects. The video was kindly put together by volunteer Connor Sadler. You can view it here:

After the video we had a chance to mingle and indulge in the lovely spread before heading back for 7 speakers. The speakers talked openly and honestly about their journey’s and struggles with addiction and mental illness. Over the next few weeks we will be able to see some of those experiences.
The key message that was taken from the speakers was that with encouragement and support recovery is possible. Recovery is not linear and there will be tough times. Recovery is individual and recovery is what you want it to look like and at Futures in Mind we will help you achieve this.
Volunteers Week is running from 1-7th June and is a poignant reminder of how important volunteers are to us. Volunteering is a meaningful act that is fulfilling and rewarding. It can be on a one off basis or something more regular like Befriending or Mentoring.
